User Data Deletion Policy

At Fidens (Riders 4 Life), we respect your right to privacy and control over your personal data. This User Data Deletion Policy describes how users can request the deletion of their personal data and how we handle such requests in compliance with data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

1. How to Request Data Deletion

You can request the deletion of your personal data by:

  • Sending an email to contact@riders4.life with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”.
  • Including the following information in your request:
    • Your full name
    • The email address associated with your Riders for Life account
    • A clear statement that you wish to delete your personal data and/or close your account

2. What Happens After You Request Data Deletion

Once we receive your request, we will:

  • Verify your identity — to protect your privacy, we will confirm that the request is coming from the rightful account owner. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity.
  • Process your request — we will delete your personal data from our systems and databases, unless retention is legally required (for example, for fraud prevention, legal compliance, or accounting purposes).
  • Send confirmation — we will send you an email confirmation once your data has been deleted.

3. What Data Will Be Deleted

The following types of data will be deleted:

  • Personal information (name, email, phone number, profile photo)
  • Account and profile information
  • GPS and riding activity data associated with your account
  • Communication history within the app

Exceptions:
Some data may be retained if:

  • Required by law or legal obligations
  • Needed for fraud detection or security purposes
  • Aggregated or anonymized data that cannot be linked back to you individually

4. Timeframe for Data Deletion

We aim to process all verified deletion requests within 30 calendar days from the date of confirmation of your identity.

5. Consequences of Data Deletion

After your data is deleted:

  • You will no longer be able to access your Riders for Life account.
  • Any saved routes, riding history, or shared data will be permanently erased.
  • Certain social features of the app (such as friends or groups) will no longer include your profile.

If you wish to use the app again in the future, you will need to create a new account.
